Crypto risk disclosure
Version 2026-10-15. In effect from 15 October 2026.
Crypto is high risk. Please read this before you deposit, hold or send crypto with Valtora.
Value
The value of crypto can rise or fall sharply and quickly, including to zero. Past performance tells you nothing about the future. Valtora doesn't set or guarantee any price.
Stablecoins
A stablecoin such as USDT or USDC aims to keep a steady value against a currency, usually the US dollar. It depends on its issuer holding enough reserves and being able to redeem tokens. A stablecoin can lose its link to the currency (de-peg), and an issuer can freeze tokens at certain addresses or stop supporting a network.
Transfers can't be reversed
Once a transfer is on the network, nobody can cancel or reverse it, including us. Crypto sent to a wrong address, or on the wrong network, is usually lost for good. Always check the address and network before you confirm.
Fraud and scams
Fraudsters impersonate companies, government bodies, family members and investment platforms, and pressure people into sending crypto. We will never ask you to move crypto to keep it safe, and never ask for your passkey or a sign-in code. If someone contacts you and urges you to send crypto, stop and contact us first.
How your crypto is held
We hold clients' crypto in wallets at our custody partner, in our name, pooled with other clients' crypto, and our records show your share. If we or the partner failed, were hacked or stopped operating, getting your crypto back could be delayed, and you could lose some or all of it. Our records of your share help to identify what belongs to you, but they don't remove this risk.
Networks
Crypto networks can become congested, slow or expensive, can stop working, and can be attacked. Network fees change with demand. Networks can split or change their rules, which can affect the assets on them (see the Terms of Service, section 6.5).
Access to your account
If you lose access to your sign-in methods, it takes time to verify you and restore access. We may hold activity on your account while we check that it's really you.
Law and tax
Laws on crypto are changing in every country we serve. A change could restrict which assets or services we can offer you, or how. Crypto can have tax consequences, and you're responsible for your own tax. Take independent advice if you're unsure.
Not advice
Nothing Valtora provides is investment, legal or tax advice. Only use money you can afford to lose.
