How Valtora works

Who runs Valtora, how your money is held and what you can use today.

The short version: Valtora is a brand of 2ndline Inc., not a bank. Crypto services are live; accounts with IBANs are coming.

Who you're dealing with

Valtora is a brand of 2ndline Inc., a Florida corporation (United States). Valtora is a financial technology platform, not a bank. Every application is reviewed: identity, country and, for businesses, ownership and activity.

How your money is held

Client crypto and USD/EUR cash are held in segregated client-money wallets at our licensed custody partner, apart from Valtora's own money. Each client's balance is recorded in our ledger and reconciled against the partner's wallets every hour. Valtora is not a bank; balances are not covered by deposit insurance.

Platforms and their customers' money

If you run a platform, your own fees and revenue are kept apart from money you hold for your customers or merchants, under an arrangement agreed with you during onboarding.

Crypto checks

Addresses are screened against sanctions lists before money leaves. Large or unusual transfers are reviewed, and sending to a new address can involve a waiting period. We never ask you to move crypto to keep it safe.

Who provides each service

Crypto custody, crypto payments and cashouts run through our licensed custody partner. Card payouts are sent by our team through the same partner. Buying and selling crypto with a card or bank will run through MoonPay when it opens; you'll see their terms on their page.
